Sun Set from space

Unfortunatly my scanner is an *** so, as always, it distorts my proportions and colors. There are a few new things here:
1. a blured matte on top of the black one (makes it look like a fogged glass rim was placed on it)
2. (I am so ashamed of my self) I had to photoshop the image

I'm so ashamed that I had to photoshop this, but with out doing so it looked nothing like the origanl. So I had to tweek it. I had to lightly burn the whole thing and then use the dogde tool to bring up the highlights. The scanner still srewed some of the coloring but I did the best I could.
I wonder if I could bring some of the other drawings back from the dead this way....

Now for the background on this drawing...
2 or so weeks inclass and out. Started it as a sub assignment for my art class. I thought that it wasn't going to be anything good but it turns out that after 2 to 3 weeks of coloring and inking it is my best! I had to do a lot of inking and I meen a lot! I had to ink this thing atleast 10 times (not counting the burning on photoshop). Neaded rubber eraces are a nice thing to have by the way. No way on earth I would have gotten the highlights I did with out one.
Well I failed to write the date on the back of this thing... But judging by the drawings before it I must have drawn the line art around September 28th or so.
Because of this drawing I have to do one for my art teacher by the end of the year.....
